Residence permits for a foreign worker's family
Bahrain · Official name: Dependants Residency Permit (Wife/Husband and Children) through LMRA; Residence Permit for Resident's Direct Family Members through NPRA
Employers can apply through LMRA for residence permits for a foreign worker's spouse and children up to age 24, but only for workers whose net monthly income registered with the Social Insurance Organization is at least BHD 400 (Minister of Interior Decision No. 34 of 2021). Dependants over 24, parents and some other relatives are handled directly by the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA), where the page lists a monthly salary of at least BHD 1,000.
