What e-Passage information can and can’t be relied on for, and why official sources and licensed legal advisors come first.

This disclaimer explains the limits of the information and tools on e-Passage. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

1.The short version#

In short: e-Passage helps you understand and prepare. It does not give legal advice, it is not a government service, and no one can guarantee an immigration outcome. Check the official source, and speak with a licensed legal advisor about your situation.

3.Not a government service#

e-Passage is a private company. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for any government, embassy, consulate or immigration authority. We don’t submit applications for you, and we can’t influence any decision. Official application portals are free to access, and government fees are paid directly to the government.

4.No guarantees#

Governments make all immigration, visa and entry decisions, often with discretion. We do not guarantee any outcome or processing time, and no legal advisor or service can honestly guarantee one either. Be cautious of anyone who promises approval.

5.Scores and estimates#

Scores, readiness indicators and missing items are automated estimates based on what you’ve told us and on published criteria. They show how your information compares with those criteria; they aren’t an official assessment. An estimate can be wrong if your information is incomplete, if criteria change, or if officials consider factors our tools don’t.

6.Sources and verification#

We research requirements from official government sources and show the source and the date we last checked it. Information is marked unverified until a licensed legal advisor has reviewed it, and verified information can still go out of date when rules change.

If anything on e-Passage differs from the official source, the official source applies. If you spot something wrong, please tell us at [email protected].

7.Travel and entry#

Visa requirement checks are general information based on nationality and destination. Airlines and border officers decide whether you can board or enter, and may require extra documents such as proof of funds, onward travel or a minimum passport validity. Check with the official source and your carrier before you travel.
