This policy applies to everyone who uses e-Passage, including applicants, family plan members, Enterprise users and legal advisors. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
1.The short version#
In short: Be honest, respect other people’s information, and don’t try to break or misuse the platform. If you’re unsure whether something is allowed, ask us first.
2.Be truthful#
You must not use e-Passage to:
- prepare or submit information or documents you know to be false, forged, altered or misleading;
- misrepresent your identity, or impersonate another person, a legal advisor, a government official or e-Passage;
- help anyone deceive an immigration, border or other government authority; or
- falsely claim professional qualifications, licences or affiliations.
3.Respect other people’s information#
- Only add information about other people, such as family members or clients, if you have the right to do so.
- Don’t try to access accounts, profiles or data that aren’t yours.
- Don’t collect, harvest or scrape information about users or legal advisors.
- Don’t use information you get through e-Passage to contact, harass, threaten or report anyone.
4.No exploitation#
Many people using e-Passage are in vulnerable situations. You must not use the platform to exploit them. This includes:
- human trafficking, smuggling, or coercing anyone to travel or work;
- fraudulent job, sponsorship, marriage or study offers;
- charging people for services you aren’t licensed to provide, or for “approvals” no one can promise; and
- discrimination, hate speech or harassment.
5.Don’t interfere with the platform#
- Don’t probe, scan or test the security of e-Passage, except under a responsible disclosure arrangement with us.
- Don’t bypass rate limits, access controls or two-step verification, or share sign-in or backup codes.
- Don’t upload malware or anything designed to damage or disrupt systems.
- Don’t use bots, scrapers or automated tools to access the Service, except tools we provide or approve in writing.
- Don’t copy, resell or reuse our requirements data or scoring outputs to build a competing product.
- Don’t overload the Service or create accounts in bulk.
6.Use e-Passage lawfully#
You must follow the laws that apply to you, including immigration, privacy, consumer protection, anti-spam and sanctions laws. Legal advisors must also follow the rules of their regulators and our Legal advisor Terms.
7.Reporting security issues#
If you find a security vulnerability, please tell us at [email protected] and give us reasonable time to fix it before sharing it with anyone. Don’t access more data than needed to show the issue, and never access or change other users’ data.
8.What happens if this policy is broken#
We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or close accounts that break this policy, as described in our Terms of Service. Where we must by law, or where someone’s safety is at risk, we may report activity to the appropriate authorities. This doesn’t change our Transparency Policy: we don’t share information about anyone’s immigration status voluntarily.
9.Reporting misuse#
If you see something on e-Passage that breaks this policy, including concerns about a legal advisor, email [email protected]. We review every report.
