Venezuelan regularisation: Temporary Protection Permit (PPT) and PEP-Tutor for parents and guardians of Venezuelan children

Official name: Estatuto Temporal de Protección para Migrantes Venezolanos (PPT) y Permiso Especial de Permanencia para representantes legales o custodios de niñas, niños y adolescentes venezolanos (PEP-TUTOR)

Colombia regularised Venezuelan migrants through the Temporary Protection Statute and its Temporary Protection Permit (PPT). The live route in 2026 is the PEP-Tutor: a special permit for the legal representatives or custodians of Venezuelan children who held a PPT valid on 31 December 2023, when the adult has no PPT or visa. Applications are open until 31 December 2026 (Resolución 1747 de 2026). Holders must obtain a visa from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs before the PEP-Tutor ends.
