Quota refugees
UNHCR resettlement to Denmark · Official name: Kvoteflygtninge (udlændingeloven § 8)
Denmark resettles refugees who are outside Denmark, by agreement with UNHCR or a similar international organisation. A Danish delegation interviews refugees on selection trips and the Danish Immigration Service decides. It is not a route individuals can apply for. Quota refugees get a residence permit under section 8 of the Aliens Act, for up to 2 years at a time.
