Official name: Resident Visas for Foreign Spouses of R.O.C. (Taiwan) Citizens Having Household Registration
Foreign spouses of Taiwan citizens who have household registration in Taiwan can apply for a resident visa, usually at an ROC (Taiwan) mission abroad, or in Taiwan if they entered on a visitor visa marked for this purpose. After arriving, they must apply to the National Immigration Agency for an Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) within 30 days. People who entered visa-free or with a landing visa, and people working in Taiwan as blue-collar workers, cannot apply on this basis.
