Tourist e-Visa (single or multiple entry) for Egypt
Egypt's Ministry of Interior runs an official e-Visa portal (visa2egypt.gov.eg) where nationals of listed countries, including most of Europe, the Americas, the Gulf, China, India and Japan, can get a tourist visa online for USD 30 (single entry) or USD 65 (multiple entry). Some of these nationalities can instead get a visa on arrival at Egyptian airports, now issued as an electronic QR code. Nationals of countries that need pre-approval, and anyone holding a non-ordinary passport, must apply through an Egyptian embassy or consulate.

Study1 pathway

Residence permit for study
International students admitted to Egyptian universities apply through the Ministry of Higher Education's 'Study in Egypt' platform, run by the Central Administration for International Students' Affairs. After arrival, they need a residence permit for study from the General Administration of Passports, Immigration and Nationality (Ministry of Interior). Official online sources give few details on the residence step's documents and fees.
