Gibraltar short-stay visit
Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory with its own immigration control, run by the Department of Immigration and Home Affairs and the Borders and Coastguard Agency. Under the UK-EU treaty on Gibraltar, from 15 July 2026 Gibraltar aligned its short-stay visa policy (90 days in any 180 days) with the Schengen Area, so there are no immigration controls between Gibraltar and Schengen. Visa-requiring nationals now need a Schengen short-stay visa, normally issued by Spain when Gibraltar is the main destination. UK visas are no longer issued for Gibraltar.

Gibraltar work permit
Employers in Gibraltar register jobs and apply to the Department of Employment's Employment Service for work permits for foreign workers who need them. The Department publishes fees under the Employment Regulations 1994. Non-EU workers also need permission to enter and reside from the Department of Immigration and Home Affairs.
