Temporary residence permit for investors

company capital or state fund

Since 15 September 2026, the real estate and bank deposit investor routes are no longer in the Immigration Law. Investors can still get a permit for up to two years by investing at least EUR 50,000 in the share capital of a small company (or EUR 100,000 in a larger company) and paying EUR 10,000 to the state budget. The company must then pay at least EUR 40,000 (or EUR 100,000) in taxes each year. A new route allows a permit of up to five years for investing EUR 150,000 for at least five years with a state-established alternative investment fund manager, plus EUR 10,000.
