Foreigners employed in Moldova apply to the General Inspectorate for Migration for a right of provisional (temporary) residence for work. Separate document lists cover shareholders of companies with foreign investment and people in management positions. A long-stay D visa for employment or entrepreneurial activity may be needed first.

Shareholders or partners must show an extract from the State Register of Legal Entities and investment confirmed by an accredited auditor or a statement of withheld taxes and contributions showing job creation (GIM investment page).
Managers
People in management positions present a draft employment contract with the monthly salary and duties, or a management or mandate contract (GIM investment page).
