Electronic visa / Electronic Travel Authorisation System

eTAS

Since 1 September 2025, all foreign nationals travelling to Somalia must apply online in advance through the official eTAS portal of the Immigration and Citizenship Agency (ICA). Somaliland's Hargeisa airport does not accept the eTAS for entry and issues its own single-entry visa on arrival, according to the UK government. Much of Somalia is affected by terrorism and armed conflict, and the UK government reports a data breach affecting the eVisa system.
