Tourist visa with Letter of Invitation from the State Migration Service

Every visit to Turkmenistan needs a Letter of Invitation (LOI) certified by the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan. Tourists get it through a Turkmen travel agency; other visitors get it through the person or company they are visiting. With the LOI you can get the visa at a Turkmen embassy, or on arrival at Ashgabat International Airport for an extra USD 50. The LOI is valid for 3 months from certification.
