Police certificate for Ethiopia
Police Criminal Record (police clearance)OnlineEmbassy or consulateOfficial page(opens in a new tab)
- Issued by
- Ethiopian police (the issuing body is not named on the Ethiopian embassy pages read)
- How to apply
- The official pages read do not describe the in-country procedure.
- From abroad
- The Ethiopian Embassy in Canada says it cannot process the Police Criminal Record on your behalf. Applicants abroad have fingerprints taken by the RCMP or a local police authority on form C216, have the documents notarised and authenticated, then submit them through the Digital MOFA mobile app. The Ethiopian Embassy in London lists a 'Criminal Record and TIN Number Services' service needing a valid passport (Ethiopian passport and UK residence permit, or Ethiopian origin ID, for Ethiopians), recent photographs and a service fee.
- Notes
- Embassy pages describe applying through a representative; the embassy does not issue the certificate itself.
Not confirmed
We couldn’t confirm these on an official page. Check the official page.
- Issuing authority in Ethiopia (Federal Police) is not named on any official page that could be read; federalpolice.gov.et failed TLS certificate verification.
- No official page states the fee, processing time or in-country procedure.
- The London embassy page combines criminal record and TIN requirements, so it is unclear which apply to the criminal record service.
