Police certificate for Nepal

Police Clearance Certificate (Police Clearance Report)OnlineEmbassy or consulateOfficial page(opens in a new tab)
Issued by
Nepal Police, Central Investigation Bureau (CID)
How to apply
Apply online through the Nepal Police online police clearance system (opcr.nepalpolice.gov.np / cid.nepalpolice.gov.np). The required documents are listed on the Nepal Police CID website.
From abroad
Apply through the same Nepal Police online system, or contact your own country's embassy in Nepal. For use abroad, the issued report is attested by the Department of Consular Services of Nepal's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and can then be verified at a Nepalese embassy (e.g. London GBP 75; Washington USD 100).
Notes
Embassy attestation fees are for verifying the certificate, not for issuing it. The US embassy requires the original report, a copy, passport and citizenship copies, an attestation form and prior MoFA attestation.

Not confirmed

We couldn’t confirm these on an official page. Check the official page.

  • Nepal Police sites (cid.nepalpolice.gov.np, opcr.nepalpolice.gov.np, nepalpolice.gov.np) reset the connection, so the issuing fee, document list, processing time and eligibility of foreigners could not be confirmed.
