Armenia employment-based temporary residence status (work permit via workpermit.am), with changes to the Law 'On Foreigners' in force from 1 November 2026

The employer applies online on workpermit.am. The Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs must agree to the foreign hire. The employer then adds the worker's data and the Migration and Citizenship Service grants employment-based temporary residence and a residence card. EAEU citizens are exempt from work permits but must still confirm lawful residence online. Amendments adopted on 20 January 2026 take effect no later than 1 November 2026. They bring in an annual quota, a single electronic platform, a work entry visa of up to 120 days, and residence status of up to 1 year.
