Citizenship by naturalisation
A foreigner or stateless person may apply for Azerbaijani citizenship after living in Azerbaijan legally, uninterruptedly and permanently for the last 5 years. The period is counted from the date the permanent residence permit was issued. Applicants also need a legal source of income and a document proving knowledge of the state language.
