Employment Visa (E) with Work Permit
Foreign nationals employed in Bangladesh usually enter on an E visa. In the private sector, the employer first gets a visa recommendation and then a work permit from the Invest Bangladesh Authority (BIDA) through its One Stop Service portal. The Ministry of Home Affairs issues a security clearance. Related types include E1 (machinery and software suppliers), N (registered NGO staff) and J (journalists).
