Restoration of temporary resident status
visitor, student or worker
Restoration lets a visitor, student or worker who lost temporary resident status get it back by applying from inside Canada within 90 days. You must still meet the original requirements of your stay and must have followed your permit conditions. Students and workers apply for a new permit at the same time. You may stay in Canada while IRCC decides, but you cannot work or study until status is restored.
