Ivorian nationality by marriage

Under articles 13, 14 and 40 of the Ivorian Nationality Code (Loi n° 61-415, as amended), a foreign woman marrying an Ivorian acquires Ivorian nationality if she solemnly opts for it when the marriage is celebrated. Service Public CI states that the same rule applies to a foreign man marrying an Ivorian woman. The file goes to the Ministry of Justice.
