Tourist visa (visa de turismo / prior consular authorisation) for Transitory Stay

Permanencia Transitoria

Visitors enter Chile under Transitory Stay (Permanencia Transitoria) for tourism, business or similar purposes for up to 90 days. Most nationalities need no visa, but nationals of certain countries must first get a tourist visa (prior authorisation) from a Chilean consulate, applied for through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' online consular system. The stay can be extended once for up to 90 days by the National Migration Service (SERMIG).
