Tourist visa (single TS or multiple TM) and visa-free tourist entry
Nationals of countries without a visa waiver need a tourist visa from a Dominican consulate. It allows 60 days with one entry (TS) or two entries (TM). Under Decree 691-07, foreigners with permanent residence or a valid multiple-entry visa from the United States, the Schengen area, Canada or the United Kingdom can enter for tourism with a valid passport and a Tourist Card.
