Permanent residence visa after more than 21 months of temporary residence
Official name: Concesión de visa de residencia permanente por tiempo de permanencia mayor a 21 meses
Foreigners who have held temporary residence in Ecuador for at least 21 continuous months can apply for permanent residence online on the e-VISAS platform, before their current status expires. They must show lawful means of support under Acuerdo Ministerial 70 of 28 June 2024.

Travellers aged 1 year and over arriving from Brazil, DR Congo or Uganda (or after more than 12 hours' airport transit there) need a valid yellow fever certificate.
