Grenada Permit of Permanent Residence

Immigration Act, Cap. 145, s.24

The Minister may grant a permit of permanent residence to anyone who applies in the prescribed way, is of good character and states an intention to live permanently in Grenada. The permit can be endorsed to cover dependants. The law sets no minimum residence period; the decision is discretionary. Permanent residents still need a work permit to work.

Foreign nationals who intend to settle in Grenada permanently, typically after living there for some time.

Eligibility

  • Good character

    Applicant must be of good character (s.24(1)(a)).

  • Intention to reside permanently

    The application must state the intention to reside permanently in Grenada (s.24(1)(b)).

  • Dependants

    The Minister may endorse the permit to cover one or more dependants at the time or later on application (s.24(2)).
