Jersey work permit

long-term, temporary, intra-company and other routes

Non-British, non-Irish nationals need a Jersey work permit to work in Jersey. Permits are issued by Jersey Customs and Immigration Service under the Work Permit Policy and are tied to one named employer and role. The employer must also hold licensing permission under the Control of Housing and Work (Jersey) Law 2012. The worker applies separately for a visa, which is UK-aligned and processed by the UK Home Office.
