Niger entry visa

applied for at a Niger embassy

Foreigners travelling to Niger need a valid passport recognised by Niger and, unless exempt, an entry visa obtained from a Niger embassy or consulate. The Embassy of Niger in Washington publishes the document requirements: two application forms, two photos and a passport valid for more than 90 days and longer than the stay. Journalists also need a filming authorisation from the Ministry of Communication. Niger left ECOWAS in January 2025 and is part of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES); the security situation is serious and many governments advise against all travel.
