Parent Boost Visitor Visa

Official name: Parent Boost Visitor Visa

A long-stay, multiple-entry visitor visa for parents of New Zealand citizens and residents. It allows a stay of up to 5 years, with no time limit on each visit, and a second 5-year visa can be applied for. Applicants apply from outside New Zealand, need a sponsor (usually an adult child), must show income, funds or sponsor income, and must hold acceptable medical or travel insurance for the whole stay. INZ shows the cost as from NZD 3,100. It does not lead to residence.
