Venezuelan and other irregular migrants: Temporary Stay Permit (CPP) and Special Resident status - no open intake found

Official name: Permiso Temporal de Permanencia - Carné de Permiso Temporal de Permanencia (CPP); Calidad Migratoria Especial Residente

Peru regularised large numbers of Venezuelans and other foreigners through the Temporary Stay Permit card (CPP). The last intake (Decreto Supremo 003-2023-IN and Resolución 0109-2023-MIGRACIONES, May 2023) was open for six months, with later short extensions, and is now closed. CPP holders can move to Special Resident status after at least six months from their last CPP. Since June 2024, Venezuelans entering Peru need a valid passport and a visa from a Peruvian consulate for temporary or resident stays, including a humanitarian visa.
