Board of Investment recommendation
Foreigners with a job offer from a company in Pakistan can get a work visa. The employer submits the application on the Pakistan Online Visa System, and the Board of Investment (BOI) processes it and recommends it to the Ministry of Interior. The BOI page says entry and extension work visas are for 2 years with multiple entries. Security clearance by agencies is part of the extension process.

Yellow fever certificate needed after a stay in countries with risk of yellow fever transmission (WHO list)
Travellers aged 1 year and over arriving from a yellow fever risk country (or after more than 12 hours' airport transit in one) need a valid yellow fever certificate.

Citizens of foreign countries who have a valid job offer and meet the requirements are eligible (BOI).
Employer files online
Companies employing expatriates must submit the work visa application on the e-visa portal (visa.nadra.gov.pk/work-general-visa/).
BOI recommendation
A BOI letter of recommendation is mandatory for a work visa extension. A visa committee chaired by the Secretary BOI approves cases received from companies working in Pakistan.
