Qatar Permanent Residency Card
Official name: Permanent Residency Card (Law No. 10 of 2018 on Permanent Residency)
Under Law No. 10 of 2018, a committee at the Ministry of Interior reviews applications for a Permanent Residency Card and recommends decisions to the Minister. The published conditions include 20 years of legal residence for people born abroad (10 years for people born in Qatar), enough income to support yourself and your family, good conduct with no final conviction for a dishonourable offence, and sufficient knowledge of Arabic. Some groups, such as the non-Qatari husband of a Qatari woman and people with special skills the state needs, are exempt from some conditions. Separately, buying property worth at least QR 3,650,000 brings permanent-residency benefits.
