People in Slovenia who fear persecution or serious harm in their home country.
Eligibility
Refugee status
For people with a well-founded fear of persecution because of race, ethnic origin, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group or political opinion. The decision is also a permanent residence permit from the day it is served.
Subsidiary protection
For people who are not refugees but would face serious harm on return (death penalty, torture, inhuman treatment, or serious threat from indiscriminate violence in armed conflict). The decision serves as a temporary residence permit.
