Single residence and work permit

Non-EU nationals need a single residence and work permit to live and work in Slovenia. After finding an employer, the worker or employer applies at a Slovenian mission or an administrative unit, which asks the Employment Service for consent. The first permit lasts for the contract, up to two years, and can be extended for up to three years.
