Permit to Enter and Reside for employment
with employer sponsorship
Under Tuvalu's Immigration Regulations 2014, foreigners who want to work in Tuvalu need a Permit to Enter and Reside for employment from the Principal Immigration Officer. The application must include an employer sponsorship (Form 5). In it, the employer agrees to follow employment law and to cover the government's costs for the worker's stay and departure. Each permit lasts up to one year and can be extended.

Health and character
You must show the Principal Immigration Officer that you are of good health and character and meet all requirements of the Immigration Act.
Return ticket or bond
You must have a valid outward ticket or pay a bond set by the Principal Immigration Officer to cover repatriation to your country of citizenship.
