Work Permit Class B (Labour Commissioner) with Residence Permit Class B
Immigration
Foreign employees in Tanzania need two permits: a Work Permit from the Labour Commissioner, then a Residence Permit Class B from the Commissioner General of Immigration. Both are applied for through one integrated online system (OWAIS / e-Permit). Class B is for foreigners with skills or qualifications, preferably in highly technical jobs, that are not readily available locally. The worker must have a specific job with a specific employer.
