Ordinary (single-entry) visa for tourism, online or on arrival

Visitors coming to Tanzania (Mainland and Zanzibar) for tourism need an Ordinary Visa unless their nationality is visa-exempt. Tanzania Immigration Services recommends applying online through its eVisa portal, though many nationalities can also get the visa on arrival. US passport holders must apply for a Multiple Visa instead, and some nationalities must get approval from the Commissioner General of Immigration before travel.
