Immigration permit, permanent residence and citizenship by admission
Permanent residence in Ukraine starts with an immigration permit, granted within quotas or outside quotas for certain family and other groups. The immigration permit is valid for one year, during which the holder applies for a 10-year permanent residence permit. Citizenship by admission generally needs five years of continuous residence, an immigration permit, exams on the Constitution, history and the state language, and legal income.
