Student visa and stay permit for studies

estancia por estudios

Non-EU nationals who will study in Spain for more than 90 days need a student visa from the Spanish embassy or consulate where they live, or, if already lawfully in Spain, a stay permit from the Provincial Aliens Office. Applicants show admission to an authorised school, health insurance, a medical certificate and enough money: at least 100% of Spain's IPREM indicator for each month of stay. For courses over six months the visa covers 365 days and the student then applies for a Foreigner Identity Card (TIE) in Spain.
