Long Term Work Permit

skilled contracted worker

The Long Term Work Permit covers employment with a locally registered company for one to three years. It is the main route for non-citizen skilled contracted workers (often called 'Time Post'), under section 9(2)(c) of the Immigration Act 2003. First-time applicants must normally apply from outside Fiji through Immi Hub. From 1 September 2026, five administrative requirements were removed, including the advertisement, training plan and local understudy.
