Liechtenstein citizenship
facilitated and ordinary naturalisation
Long-term residents have a right to naturalisation after 30 years of ordinary residence in Liechtenstein, with years before age 20 counting double and the last five years in the country. Spouses of Liechtenstein citizens qualify after ten years of residence (years of marriage count double) and five years of marriage. An ordinary procedure requires ten years of residence and assurance of admission by a municipality. In all cases applicants must give up their previous citizenship and show German and civics knowledge.
