Temporary residence permit for family reunification
If a family member living in Lithuania is a Lithuanian citizen, or a foreign national with a residence permit in Lithuania, a foreigner can get a temporary residence permit on family reunification grounds. The application is filled in through the applicant's MIGRIS account. Biometric data are taken at a Migration Department office in Lithuania (if the applicant is there lawfully) or at an external service provider abroad. The Migration Department then examines the application, decides and issues the card. Family members moving to Lithuania together with a Lithuanian citizen can instead apply for a permanent residence permit.
