Montenegro short-stay visa (C) and visa-free visits
Many nationalities can visit Montenegro without a visa for up to 90 days. Holders of certain visas or residence permits (Schengen, US, UK and others) can visit for up to 30 days. Others need a short-stay visa (C), valid for up to 90 days in 180 days, from a Montenegrin mission or, in some countries, a VFS Global centre. Montenegro has aligned its visa policy with the EU. From 1 November 2026, nationals of Belarus, China, Russia, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye also need a visa.
