Extend a visa or apply for a new residence permit from inside Poland

Applications go to the voivode where you live, no later than the last day of your legal stay. A timely application without formal defects keeps your stay legal until the decision becomes final. A temporary residence permit is not extended: you apply for a new one. Schengen visas extend only in exceptional cases.
