Family residence visa (sponsoring spouse and children) in Qatar
Official name: Family Residence Visa
Expatriates with a valid Qatari residence permit can sponsor their immediate family for residence. Hukoomi states that employees earning QR 10,000 or more a month who have completed six months with their employer can apply. An older Ministry of Interior page also allows QR 7,000 with family housing provided by the employer, and asks that private-sector sponsors work in technical or specialised (non-labour) jobs. Each family member, including babies, needs an individual visa, then a residence permit after arrival.
