Long-term residence permit
Uzun Dönem İkamet İzni
Turkey grants an indefinite long-term residence permit to foreigners who have lived in Turkey for at least eight uninterrupted years on residence permits, have not received social assistance in the last three years, and have sufficient regular income and health insurance. Only half of the time on a student permit counts. Holders get most rights of Turkish citizens, except voting, public office and military service.

Eligibility
Eight years of continuous residence
- At least eight uninterrupted years in Turkey on residence permits.
- Half of any student permit time and all time on other permits counts.
- Humanitarian permit time does not count.
No social assistance
No social assistance received in the last three years.
Sufficient and regular income
Enough regular income for the applicant and family; monthly income equal to the minimum wage, income-producing property or adequate bank savings may be accepted.
