Visitor visa (VIVIS) for tourism, including the e-Visa for US, Canadian and Australian citizens
Brazil's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Itamaraty) publishes a General Visa Framework (QGRV) showing, by nationality, who needs a visitor visa (VIVIS) for tourism or business. Many nationalities (for example most of Europe, South America and Russia) are exempt for stays of up to 90 days. Since 10 April 2025 citizens of the USA, Canada and Australia need a visa again and apply online for an e-Visa (USD 80.90) through the official portal run by VFS Global for Itamaraty; other visa-required nationalities apply through a Brazilian embassy or consulate using the online RER form.
