Short stay 'C' visit (tourist) visa
Ireland's short stay 'C' visa lets people from visa-required countries travel to Ireland for up to 90 days for tourism, family or friend visits, short courses, marriage or medical treatment. You apply online through AVATS from your home country or country of legal residence, then send original supporting documents and pay the fee. Ireland does not issue e-visas or family visas. Some travellers can use a UK visa instead, under the Short Stay Visa Waiver Programme or the British-Irish Visa Scheme.
