Short-stay visit to French Polynesia

overseas visa or visa waiver

French Polynesia is a French overseas territory outside the Schengen area. A Schengen visa does not let you enter. Nationals who need a visa must apply for a special short-stay visa valid for French Polynesia. If a trip also includes mainland France, two separate visas are needed. EU, EEA and Swiss citizens, nationals listed in the ministerial order for French Polynesia, and holders of certain French or Schengen residence permits or long-stay visas do not need a visa.
