Long-stay study visa (D/SD) and student residence permit
Non-EU students accepted by an accredited Romanian institution apply for a long-stay study visa at a Romanian mission, then for a residence permit from the General Inspectorate for Immigration (IGI) after arrival. Applicants need a Ministry of Education acceptance, a year's tuition paid and funds at the minimum gross wage level. Students may work part-time without a work permit.
